2015/08/21-Suruhanjaya Tenaga-500MW under net metering available from 2016-2020
Malaysia will be implementing its 500 megawatts (MW) of capacity for net energy metering (NEM) beginning 2016 until 2020, with 100MW capacity limit a year in Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah. However, there was a provision where the quota could be reviewed in the medium term if there was an increase of demand from consumers.

2015/04/23 - MalaysianDigest - Alumni Funds RM230,000 Solar Panel Car Park at MCKK
According to MalaysianDigest, Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK) will be building a car park equipped with solar panels which will generate up to 24kW based on the ideas of former students of the college. Chairman of the project implementation committee, Datuk Ahmad Sharifuddin Abdul Kadir said the project is scheduled to start operations at the end of September 2015, at a cost of RM230,000 which will be fully funded by MCKK Alumni.
2015/04/06 - The Star - Star Publications is now a solar energy poducer
According to theStar, Star Publications had received the approval to generate solar power from the Sustainable Energy Development Authority Malaysia (SEDA) in April 2013. In 2014, it started to produce green energy about 500kWp.
2015/03/09 - Seda - Seda carried out second balloting process for solar PV applications for non-induviduals(up to 425 kW)
Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) organized the second balloting process for solar photovoltaic (PV) applications for non-individuals for projects achieving commercial operation in 2015. The capacity applied is up to a maximum of 425 kW. SEDA received a total of 548 qualified solar PV applications for non-individuals for the balloting exercisee. Out of the total, 182 applications were for installed capacity up to 72kW, another 136 applicantions for installed capacity up to 180kW and a balance of 230 applicantions were installed up to 425kW.

2015/02/08 - Suruhanjaya Tenaga - Kettha to continue expanding use of renewable energy in Sabah
KeTTHA will continue to take proactive measures to increase the generation of energy from renewable sources of energy in Sabah. Datuk Seri Maximus Ongkili said that expansion of the Feed-in Tarif(FiT) mechanism to Sabah in 2014 was taken to attract more investors to renewable energy industry.
